Time
9:00-11:00AM & 12:30-2:30PM. Players will be assigned a start time either at 9:00AM or 12:30PM. Players must check-in at the registration desk 30 minutes ahead of start time. Start times subject to change. Actual playing time approximately 2-hours. Please bring water.
Format
Players will remain on the same court for the entire time. Players will be grouped by skill level. Minimum of 4 games. Change partners each game. Switch sides at 8 points. 13 minute rounds or first team to reach 15 points. Players responsible for recording scores after every game.
Skill Levels
*Newbie is a player with less than 3 months of pickleball experience and/or negligible racquet/paddle sport experience. Must know basic court position for serving and receiving.
*2.5 A player who has limited experience and can sustain a short rally.
*3.0 A player who understands fundamentals and court positioning.
*3.5 A player who acknowledges the difference between playing the “hard or soft” game, and moves quickly to the non-volley zone line.
*4.0 A player who is able to identify and attack their opponents’ weaknesses. They are aware of their partner’s position on the court and are able to move as a team.
