Purpose
The Pickleball Japan Federation created the Pickleball Japan League to provide opportunities for its member clubs and associations to compete against each other, thereby promoting interaction, camaraderie, and team spirit through the exciting team format. The event will include various levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced, corporate, student, and pro team matches. For the pro division, teams will be formed via Japan’s first pickleball draft. Prize money will be awarded to the top pro teams. International players are welcome to participate.

Application & Selection
Corporate, University, General:
· First-come, first-served via Google Form
· Individuals without a team can apply as Need a team.
· Even if your team has fewer than 4 members, you can apply as Need members.
Pro: Draft pool application by June 20; Draft held on Zoom by the end of June.
Categories / Brackets
1) Companies / Corporations
- Multiple teams from the same company or corporation may participate.
- Each team consists of 4 members (mixed-gender, all-male, or all-female teams are all allowed).
- However, if an all-male team competes against a team with female players (either all-female or mixed-gender), the team with female players will receive a 3-point handicap.
- Please register individually using this form.
2) Universities / Students
- Multiple teams from the same university or group of enrolled students may participate.
- Each team consists of 4 members (mixed-gender, all-male, or all-female teams are all allowed).
- However, if an all-male team competes against a team with female players (either all-female or mixed-gender), the team with female players will receive a 3-point handicap.
- Please register individually using this form.
3) Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced
- Beginner Teams (Guideline: each player’s DUPR 3.0 or below, total DUPR up to 12): approx. 32 teams
- Intermediate Teams (Guideline: each player’s DUPR 3.0–4.0, total DUPR up to 16): approx. 32 teams
- Advanced Teams (Guideline: each player’s DUPR 4.0 or above): approx. 32 teams

4) Pro Draft Pool Registration
- DUPR 4.0 or above, teams of 4 consisting of 2 men and 2 women

Match Format
● Company and Student Categories
- Preliminary Round: Round Robin (2 Doubles Matches)
- Final Tournament: Single Elimination
- First to 11 points (win by 1, no deuce)
- If the result is tied (1–1), an Extra Doubles Match will be played (all 4 players rotate after 6 points, first to 11 points wins).
● Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced & Pro Categories
- Preliminary Round: Round Robin (Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and 2 Mixed Doubles Matches)
- Final Tournament: Single Elimination
- First to 11 points (win by 1, no deuce)
- For Beginner–Advanced: If tied (2–2), an Extra Mixed Doubles Match will be played (all 4 players rotate after 6 points, first to 11 points wins).
- For the Pro Category: If tied, a Dreambreaker will be played (Singles rally point system to 21 points, with players rotating every 4 points).

Pro cancellations after drafted: 10,000 yen.
